Big Talk
In response to our changing society and the impact of the Internet, the Government has now decided to introduce statutory Relationship Education to Primary Schools
These lessons are not new and have been delivered in good Primary Schools since the last guidance in 2000. However, some of the content has now been updated to help keep children safer. School is here to help; we are engaging the support of the specialist organisation BigTalk Education, which is a Social Enterprise recognised by leading national bodies and governments. They work with 3 to 18-year-olds and have been involved in delivering age-appropriate education of this type for over 20 years; they also deliver training for Professionals, Parents & Carers.
Big Talk Education, a specialist Relationship Education provider, will deliver these sessions on Monday, January 13th, 2025. All resources are age-appropriate and help keep your children safe.
On the morning of the sessions, we will be providing a face-to-face ‘Parents Information Drop In’ from 0840 to 0915 in the school hall.
Here, a Facilitator from BigTalk Education will cover in greater detail what is included in your children’s sessions, and the vital role Parents and Carers can play in keeping their children safe both now and as they progress into Secondary School. Parents will be able to ask any questions they may have.
If you cannot attend the Parent Information Session, a presentation will be available on the website https://www.bigtalkeducation.co.uk/year-by-year/ explaining who BigTalk are and what will be covered in the sessions. These videos can be accessed with the password: KeepingSafe
Further information is also available on www.bigtalkeducation.co.uk/parents
If you have any concerns about the above, don't hesitate to contact the school directly.
