Dates for the diary
Monday 18th March 1W class assembly at 9:00am
MMR drop-in session Tuesday 19th March - NHS England is using the school to host MMR vaccinations for any children at Brownhill who haven’t had both of their vaccinations. Text messages from the NHS have been sent to any families to which this may apply. If you think this may be the case, please bring your child to school as normal and come to the community room; you will be able to speak to a nurse, and they can check if your child’s MMR vaccine is up-to-date or not. If you would like your child to have the vaccine, you must be present with your child the whole time. Children can then join their class as normal. The team will be here for the whole day.
SEND Support Group
Where: Nowell Mount Community Centre
When: Thursday
Time: 10.15 - 12.15
This is a support group for parents and carers of children with SEND needs. It is about making new friends with others who are going through similar experiences.
Class Charts
We will be moving all behaviour recordings from Class Charts to Arbor. From the w/b 15th of April, for approximately four weeks, your child’s points total will no longer update. After this, any positive or negative behaviour points will be shown on Arbor. Now would be a great time to make sure you have downloaded the Arbor app if you don’t have it already.
Thank you to Mrs Shaw
Mrs Shaw has been supporting us as SENDCo since September. Next Thursday will be her last day with us. We want to say a massive thank you to Mrs Shaw for the support she has provided the school and the children while we recruited our new SENDCo.
Year 6 Maths Olympics
Three talented Year 6 pupils attended the Maths Olympics competition over in Manchester this week. We were so proud of them, finishing group lead and finishing top 3 overall. Well done.
World Book Day and Comic Relief
A massive thank you to all our families for the fantastic effort dressing up over the last few weeks, the world book day costumes were incredible and it has been so lovely seeing the splash of red throughout school. We will count up the total from today's fundraising and let you know our grand total next week.
Easter Egg Competition
We are launching our egg decorating competition. We would like children to decorate a hard-boiled egg using favourite book characters as the theme. We will have prizes for the top three in each year group. Eggs need to come into school no earlier than Wednesday 27th March, they will be judged on Thursday 28th.
Have a brilliant weekend :o)
