Building works and Sports Day update
As some of you will have seen yesterday, we are improving our MUGA. Over the next few weeks, a roof will be built over the MUGA. This will give us additional capacity to have the hall and the outdoor space, regardless of the weather. The building works are going to cause some disruption to the playground area. We have to be flexible with the builders regarding deliveries. For example, due to this need for flexibility, we have made the difficult decision that we will go ahead with sports days but without inviting parents. We cannot be certain what day sports day will happen and will have to take the opportunity when the building work is quiet.

Sports Day
We will have sports day at some point next week. To support the flexibility of this, please can all children bring in their PE kit next Monday and keep it in school. All children will bring their PE kits home on Friday.

Nursery Closing Date
We will be closing the nursery on Friday, 12th July.

Year 6 Dates
We are approaching the time of year when we prepare to say goodbye to our current Year 6 pupils.

Beginning the week of July 15th, all Year 6 pupils will need their swimming kits, as they will participate in swimming sessions throughout the week.

The Year 6 leavers' assembly will be on Thursday, July 18th, at 2:30 p.m. in the school hall. All family and friends are welcome.

The Year 6 children will go bowling in the afternoon on Friday, July 19th. This is our way of saying thank you to all the children for their hard work and dedication throughout the year.

International Day
We will celebrate International Day on Thursday, July 4. Once again, children are invited to wear national dress, and families are invited to share food from their home countries. Flyers have already been sent home asking families to tell us if they intend to bring food to school. This helps enormously with planning for the event, so please ONLY return the slip if you intend to bring food.

If you are bringing food to school, please arrive from 2.15 pm.

This year, we are staggering the arrival times for families attending the event as follows:
2.30 KS1
2.40 Lower KS2 (Year 3 + Year 4)
2.50 Higher KS2 (Year 5 + Year 6)

Please collect your children from class at those times and bring them along to enjoy the celebration with you.

Have a lovely week :o)
