Attendance/Absence

Coming to school every day allows your child to get the best possible education.

Children who attend 100% are 5 times more likely to work at, or above, the expected standard.

We’ll work with you to help your child attend as much as they can. We’ve got a great attendance. Please get in touch if you’re having difficulties.

What is an Unauthorised Absence?

As an academy, we must follow national legal guidelines, which means that holiday requests during term time cannot be authorised. Unauthorised absences (such as holidays during term time) could result in a fine from Leeds City Council. These fines are through the local council, and we have no control over how they are given.

Is your child going to be absent from the Academy?

If your child can’t attend school for any reason, please call 0113 248953 and pick option 1 to report your child absent.

School starts at 8:45 am – 3:15 pm

If you have any questions

Call us or pop in and speak to our attendance officer.

Miss V Hughes is our attendance supporter.
