Dates for the diary
Parents Evening Wednesday 6th March and Thursday 7th March 3.30-6.00 pm. You will be able to start booking appointments from Monday 26th February at 11 am
World Book Day - we will be holding World Book Day on Friday, 8th March; children are encouraged to come to school dressed as book characters. We love to see children coming in costumes they have made themselves, the more creative the better. We will have our parade in the playground at 9 am that morning so all families can see the children in their incredible outfits.
Year 6S/B IntoUniversity next week - please make sure the children are in sensible footwear and have a coat with them, they will be walking down to the IntoUniversity centre whatever the weather. If your child is a free school meal a pack lunch will be provided otherwise please make sure your child has a packed lunch for the full week.
Breakfast Club - please can we remind all parents and carers that breakfast starts at 8:15 am, children who are dropped off earlier than this need to be accompanied by an adult until breakfast club starts. We do not have staff in the building who can look after children before this time.
New SENDCo - I would like to take this opportunity to thank Mrs Gemma Shaw for the support she has provided Co-op Academy Brownhill as SENDCo whilst we recruited a new SENDCo for the school. Mrs Shaw will continue to support us once a week until Easter. We are very pleased to announce that Ms Joanna Graham will be taking over as SENDCo from this point. Ms Graham is an experienced SENDCo and is a full-time teacher with us at Co-op Academy Brownhill. We will be organising a drop in session in the future for parents to come and meet Ms Graham but in the meantime if you would like to introduce yourself Ms Graham currently work in Year 6, please drop by and say hello.
