This week

We have had another week filled of excellent learning. Children in year 1 have been designing and making their own mood monster and adding colour and texture to them. In year 2 pupils have been looking at sculptures and designing their own as well as carrying out their own tally charts in maths. In year 3 pupils have been working on designing and making their own Greek chariots and have looked closely at the design of their axles and wheels. In year 4 children have been sharing their boat designs and in year 5 they have been researching the amazon river as well as designing and making their own bug hotels. Finally in year 6 children have rounded off their DT projects by making Mayan masks from clay. It is great to see children learning and being enthusiastic about learning in all subject areas.

100% Easter attendance hamper

Well done to Jason in year 5 for being the winner of our 100% attendance hamper and a massive well done to all those who managed 100% attendance throughout April. You are all superstars.

Goodbye Mr Cummins

Today we are sadly saying goodbye to Mr Cummins who is relocating to London and will be taking a teaching position at a new school. I am sure you would all wish to join me in thanking him for doing an amazing job and wishing him all the best for the future.

Free School Meals

If your child is entitled to free school meals you should now have received a £30 voucher for the Easter break. This may have been sent through the post or have arrived via email today.

Reporting a positive Covid case over the Easter break

If your child receives a positive Covid case during the Easter break and has been in the school 48 hours prior to the symptoms starting please inform the school by calling or texting, your child’s name and year group to 07970894655. A member of staff will then contact you for more details.
