Northern Ballet show Year 5 how to ‘pas de chat’
Northern Ballet came to visit and gave Year 5 a mini masterclass in ballet.
They taught students how to stand, place their feet and how to plie (that’s a fancy ballet move)! The students got to try out other ballet moves too, like pirouettes and pas de chat.
Pas de chat means to move like a cat, so students had to do their best feline impression and move lightly and fast.
The ballet dancers also taught Year 5 how to do proper stretches that help you get ready for exercise, stretching out all your muscles so they are ready to move.
It was a great session where everyone learnt something new, thank you Northern Ballet for coming in.
