International Day: Thursday 7th July, 1.30
Thank you for your enthusiastic and very positive response to the news of our International Day on the afternoon of July 7th.
We have already had offers of traditional food from Kosovo and Iran, and we’re very excited about the day.
If your children would like to wear clothing which they associate with a country which is important to them for any reason, they can wear it to school on International Day. This might be traditional clothing, the kit of a national sports team or even something they like to wear on holiday, in this country or abroad. This is another way for us to celebrate all the countries and cultures which are an important and valued part of our school community.
For any further information about International Day, or if you can help us by bringing food to share with other families on the day – including, of course, English, Scottish or Welsh delicacies – please contact Mrs Macdonald on 07970 895348.
International Day: Family Competition
Do you and your children like spending time together, doing fun and interesting things? Would you like to win a £50 voucher, just by sharing with us a photo of you and your children enjoying a family activity?
As part of our International Day on Thursday 7th July, we are asking parents to share a photo of themselves and their children enjoying a leisure activity together. This might have links to other countries – such as playing traditional music, dancing or telling stories – or it could be any activity or sport which is popular all over the world, such as drawing, cycling or playing basketball. Send your picture to school with your child or send it on a mail addressed to Mrs McDonald to brow-office@coopacadmies pleas
The best family photo will win a £50 voucher, and 10 runners-up will receive a box of chocolates.
Please send in your entries before Wednesday 6th July
